Located in the heart of the Masai Mara, we were surrounded by breathtaking wildlife. The highlight was definitely the hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti. Seeing the vast savannah from up above was absolutely mind-blowing! The camp itself was top-notch, with cozy lodges and a medium-sized swimming pool for relaxation. And let's not forget the game drives in the 4X4 vehicles - it felt like we were in our very own adventure movie!
If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the camp could have had more fun activities for young party-goers. Don't get me wrong, there was still plenty to do and see, but a little more nightlife or organized events would have taken the experience to the next level for us young folks.

The rooms at Fig Tree Camp - Maasai Mara are absolutely stunning! I felt like I was in paradise with the air-conditioning and flat-screen TV. It made me feel so comfortable and relaxed as a traveler who enjoys a bit of luxury.
The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the size of the private bathroom. But hey, that's just my personal opinion, others might still find it perfectly fine.

Absolutely Fantastic! We moved to Fig Tree Camp after staying in another hotel and it wasn't a pleasing experience for me there. :). The location is phenomenal! It's an experience not just staying, they gave me an amazing lodge overlooking the river where you can see hippos, and crocodiles and hear those beautiful creatures all through the night! . The lodge was super clean. The staff and manager were amazing and very helpful. He upgraded my room for free. I regretted that I didn't book this amazing place for the whole trip! If I repeat this trip soon, I would allocate at least two days for just staying in my lodge relaxing on the river, enjoying the amazing ambiance, seeing hippos playing, and just hearing the sounds of nature. What you will see here is no less than any experience during the safari trips, and it's a great place for relaxation! It deserves each penny! Regarding Safari drives, I booked with an agency from Nairobi so I haven't tried safari trips with them. It might also be helpful to mention that the "picnic lunch" they provide for Safari trips in Masai Mara as per the guests' request was the best meal I had for a picnic lunch compared to other hotels. Thank you so much to the staff and to the great funny manager who made my short stay here memorable! :)
Do recommend this hotel.

The breakfast could be improved with a wider selection of options.

I chose this lodge for attending a symposium and was pleased with the availability of meeting rooms for events. The business center was also a valuable amenity for my work needs.
The only thing I missed for my work was a stronger and more reliable wifi connection.

I had an incredible stay at a riverside tent surrounded by wildlife. Hippos and baboons could be seen from the safety of my tent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing. The location was perfect, right by the river, offering a peaceful and nature-filled experience. The hotel facilities, including the pool, were top-notch. The staff even made us packed lunches for our day trips.
Nothing at all.
